The art of crochet is now coming back as hobby and as a way of making some extra money. This can easily be seen by looking at what’s on offer at eBay and Amazon. There are literally thousands of different items that be can made that will keep the keen hobbyist or home worker can keep busy for a life time.

There are thousands of books,videos and crochet patterns available to ensure the beginner as well as those experienced  in crochet are never lacking for something to do. Many newcomers are taking the plunge into their newfound hobby with a new found energy, re-discovering the pleasure in making garments and other items that are both  beautiful to look at and useful.

Crocheting hats, bags, shrugs, shawls for adults and babies is becoming extremely popular and of course can save money as well, there are indeed more and more people getting hooked into this wonderful hobby.

Looking to the Internet is a great starting point as there are plenty of simple free patterns to get one started before moving on to the more complex crochet patterns and designs. If there are items surplus to requirements they can always generate some extra money by selling to friends, neighbours or even on eBay and Amazon. You may even decide to supplement the family income by starting a small business workling from home making some interesting and colourful items for others.

As there are different methods on how crochet a particular item the beginner would be well advised to look at some vidoes and invest in a good crochet book to learn the basic stitches and terminology. As crochet is hand worked it does require some patience, but one the basic crocheting skill  have been covered it’s suprising how quickly an professional looking item can be made.
